🌵Meetings / One of the topics I find less consensus on is how to run an effective meeting. Despite my obsession with personal productivity, when it comes to the team I'm particularly lousy at it. Mentorship
We have a prime event tonight for our students. Students will be able to join and hear from mentors on topics that relate to top-of-mind student challenges. Such as what to do after graduation, investing in yourself, and myths about launching a company. Students can register here.
Volunteer
The Activate Good team would appreciate helping spread the word about an enormous project. "We’ve partnered with Wake County Public Schools on a project called Operation Access. Volunteers are needed to get wireless hot spots ready for 10,500 kids in Wake County who need access to learn. Volunteer information, safety requirements, and registration can be found here. Volunteers are encouraged (but not required) to sign up for multiple shifts to minimize contact".

Engineering or science backgrounds preferred, particularly if you like automating systems and have diverse areas of technology interests.

The newly formed Venture Banking Division of Signature Bank is hiring a portfolio analyst for its Durham location. Unique opportunity to work directly with an experienced lending team focused on early stage companies in the venture space. The Analyst will assist the team with the underwriting analysis for new and existing deals including monthly monitoring, spreading of financial statements and preparing sections of the deal memos. Assist with loan closing process including working with other areas of the Bank to fully onboard the client.
