🚀Vision / Ok it's time to confess something. Even though I'm a fan of execution and believe it's always the most important thing, I'm such a strategy person. Like it's my favorite thing in the world and it's time publicly admit it. Ok now that I got that out of the way, please give the digital strategy person at the NBA a raise. And of course the marketer at Nike like those commercials are pure fire. Back to the NBA, the pivot and management of the NBA proves it's by far the best managed sports league in the world. 🌵Trailblazing / Probably the best take I've seen on the future of sustainable businesses. In A few Critical Climate Technology Breakthroughs Multiplied by “Instigators” is desperately needed a serious VC like Vinod Khosla share's his take on the future. Please give it a read and have those businesses in your shortlist when looking for a new gig. I'm a big believer the space will have a major surge after this crisis ends and a correction of incentives naturally takes place.
🦄 Launch / We've seen many startups create successful traction campaigns known as "velvet rope strategies". Many have been successful, but many more have crashed and failed miserably. So what do the good ones do? Draw your conclusions after reading "The Value of a Velvet Rope: Effects of Hype and Exclusivity on Launch Strategies".
