Hi team,
Over the years my weekly newsletter made me fall in love with writing. Yes, I know these are not great literary pieces. But putting together thoughts and opinions on paper (and sometimes typos) while having the courage to share them with our community is a very special thing.
It used to give me anxiety every time I hit the send button. Luckily, I found repetition and consistency to be the cure for my doubts. After all, English is still my second language and fear of judgement takes a while to go away.
Today, as I pack my stuff to leave NC State, I can't but reflect on the content I aggregated over the years and the action of sharing them with you. The Courier was always about sharing the things that I thought were relevant for our students and the rest of our startup community. At its core, this was just an extension of the purpose of the NC State Entrepreneurship Clinic.
I am proud of the team and my boss who allowed me to ramble here. Wouldn't be here without him.
It's now time to go and pursue new frontiers. More on that later, though…
Still, I wanted to say thank you for supporting me and this publication over the past 5 years. I am sure that as the Clinic evolves a better writer and more thoughtful person will take on the task of creating a Courier 2.0.
In the meantime, stay curious and open minded. That's how the best convos land in these type of places.
Thank you for reading,

Top 5
I couldn't leave without sharing a few quick things, right?
5- My prediction of blockchain becoming mainstream through gaming platforms is taking longer than I expected. But many cool things are happening in the NFT space. The former Disney Studio Exec explains IP, listen to his fantastic perspective in Overpriced JPEGs by Carly Reilly.
4- Watched 14 peaks? If not, take a break and head to Netflix.
3- Ok sorry for or putting not one, but two NFT podcasts in the same newsletter. If you missed this one, this is your chance to dig into a brilliant breakdown of Bored Ape Yacht Club with Patrick O'Shaughnessy.
2- A curation of a curation, by Lenny Rachitsky. Here you'll find the foundation of anything you need right now as a startup.
1- Forever my favorite types of reads will be deep dives on businesses. There are so many out there, but this one brought me back to the time I met an exec at this company. At thee moment my brain went “oh not another Tesla”. But after paying attention it became clear the future of EVs had enough space for many. Here is a master breakdown on Rivian.
That's it, see you soon.
